The Guthrie/Hanselman Conspiracy, A.K.A. "The Pair Programming Facade"

Exhibit A:

"Scott" Guthrie, "Scott" Hanselman. Coincidence? I think NOT.

Exhibit B:

I fired up Photoshop... err... I mean Expression Design to resize and black-and-white their portraits for a convenient side-by-side comparison. The results are remarkable. Add or remove some facial hair and CIA-grade "face putty", and you, sir, are looking at the exact same man!

Scott^2

The Truth Ain't Out There

I've asked others what they think of this conspiracy. Ayende Rahien simply stated "I saw Guthrie and Hanselman in the same room together." In a strikingly similar statement, Oren Eini said "Look, I'm telling you, I've seen them in the same room together. I don't have time for this."

Well, okay, so at least 2 people have seen them in the same room together. My take? This "same room phenomenon" is simply a hollow ploy to discredit the conpiracy theorists, such as myself, and... well, just myself so far. Whenever Scott2 appears as both Guthrie and Hanselman, it is simply a cheap parlor trick utilizing mirrors retrofitted with a secret ultra-thin version of Microsoft Surface (written in Silverlight and powered by a MacBook Air) that "Agent S" at Microsoft Research supplied to Scott2 in exchange for boxes of Mix08 swag.
